About Hull Down Apparel

Jason Harris

Jason – Owner/Founder

I got this idea during the Covid shut down in early 2020. The design was much different, but the idea was the same as it is today.  What started as “Hull Down Position” turned into Hull Down Apparel LLC.  A business that can provide apparel that a wide variety of people can identify with.  From Service Members/Veterans, FD, PD, Healthcare workers, State and Federal Employees to the Blue-Collar working-class United States Patriot.  We also have a children’s line that we hope to be coming out with soon.

You may ask yourself why the word “Apparel” is in the name, but you only see T-shirts on the website.  The reason for that is, I am mostly doing this by myself. I’m using my own money, I’m printing your T-shirts by hand, I’m drawing up the designs, I am advertising, I am designing the website, I am filing the taxes, I am doing this all by my self with the loving support of my wife, Jessica, who helps me on the social media side.  I promise I’m not gloating; I’m simply explaining that because of the decision to start all of this on my own, I can provide you with a homemade, handcrafted product. Which in turn, if there is ever anything wrong with your order, I will replace it at no charge to you.  This also means that it is taking time to fill up my shop with new designs, but if you register for an account, I will guarantee you a 10% discount and FREE Shipping on your first purchase.  The more you buy, the more variety of designs and clothing types I can post in the shop.

Hull Down Apparel, for those of you aren’t aware of the greatest job in the world, I’ll explain what’s in the name.  The M1A1/2 Abrams Main Battle Tank consists of two main parts. The Turret, and the Hull. The hull houses the driver, the engine and the tracks, three primary components of a successfully operating Tank.  Now, there are multiple positions for a tank to take a defense behind a berm or a hill. There is the “Hide” position where the tank is not exposed at all. Then you have the “Turret down” position where only the commanders remotely operated weapon station (CROWS) is exposed and useable. Then you have the “Hull Down” position where the all the weapons on the tank are useable, including the 120 MM Main Gun!

The goal is to be unique, there are a lot of veteran owned apparel companies out there, but I want to stand out and give you what YOU want, not give you what I want.

This has been fairly long-winded. Thank you for reading to this point. If you did read the whole thing, enter INTRO1 at checkout for a 15% discount on your next order.

Thank you to ALL of you who support!

Jason
